Eye Clinic Erzgebirge is a center of excellence for modern ophthalmology in Saxony, Germany, delivering high-quality eye care to thousands of patients across the medically underserved Erzgebirge region. With over 70 dedicated staff—including 10 ophthalmologists—we offer state-of-the-art diagnostics, compassionate care, and a wide range of surgical services under one roof.

As pioneers in teleophthalmology, we implemented Germany’s first pilot project in cooperation with a major health insurance provider, expanding access to remote diagnostics and continuity of care for rural populations.
We embrace emerging technologies like Bulbitech, developed by a Norwegian start-up, which allows comprehensive and objective testing of the visual system. In addition to supporting our clinical workflow, Bulbitech plays a key role in our investigator-initiated clinical trials, where we use it to objectively assess clinical parameters and outcomes, driving both innovation and evidence-based care.
